Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) uses radio waves or electric current to generate sufficient heat to cauterize nerves on a semi-permanent basis lasting between 9 months to 2 years. RFA causes an effective interruption in pain signals which causes a decrease in pain and other symptoms related to it.
